In an early post about the seven proposed essence states, I suggested that the super-states “between” Time and Space (in the order essence cascades happen) might be Spirit and Thought.
My reasoning was that if all things in the Universe, like Time and Space themselves, were merely different expressions of one basic type of essence, then if some things exist “outside” of Time and Space, they must have their own, independent states. It struck me that two obvious things that exist outside of Space (and Time, in some ways) were Thought and Spirit. How would Cascading Essence Cosmology handle them, if not through their own states?
If I was going to add them to the model, I wondered, should they have a more single-state representation (like Time) or a super-state representation (like Space)? Since I see Time as the more “rigid” orchestrator and Space as a more nuanced expression of essence, I felt that both Thought and Spirit were more like Space in their complexity. So, like Space is split into Expansion (S2) and Contraction (S1), I needed to deconstruct Thought and Spirit each into two component states. My best guess at those states was:
S6 = [Spirit:Enlightenment]
S5 = [Spirit:Inspiration]
S4 = [Thought:Ideas]
S3 = [Thought:Information]
Why did I choose Enlightenment above Inspiration and Ideas above Information? I considered the Space states of Expansion and Contraction similarly to the way the duality of Yin & Yang is thought of, yin (Expansion) is meant to represent the open, diffuse side of life, while yang (Contraction) is meant to represent the closed, focused side of life. According to Wikipedia:
Yin and yang are actually complementary, not opposing, forces, interacting to form a whole greater than either separate part; in effect, a dynamic system. Everything has both yin and yang aspects, (for instance shadow cannot exist without light). Either of the two major aspects may manifest more strongly in a particular object, depending on the criterion of the observation.
The specific entity that goes to make up Thought is Information. When Information is expanded upon and opened to interpretation, Ideas emerge.
Deconstructing Spirit was much more challenging. Spirit needs to be distinct from Thought — above Thought, in a sense. What is the focused side of Spirit? The best I could come up with is Inspiration, as defined as:
in·spi·ra·tion
noun
1.
an inspiring or animating action or influence: I cannot write poetry without inspiration…
Another concept to examine is the existence of beings primarily in Thought or Spirit. We (humans) are beings primarily — but not exclusively — in Space. Could beings in Thought or Spirit be described within our Space-based reality? Do they have anything to do with the religious concepts of angels or God (gods)? How would such beings interact with beings in Space? With Space itself? With each other?
I’m also very open to the idea that there are concepts in both Thought and Spirit that, as beings primarily in Space, we may never know even exist much less be able to accurately define. There may also be other super-states, making CEC a (2n+1)-state model instead of a 7-state model.
I realize that this post raises more questions than it answers, and I hope to do my best to eventually address each of these new questions.
